We regret to announce the passing of Olivia Doris Ismay Steede, affectionately known as’ Flip’ in her 77th year of # 20 Wellington Slip Road, St. George GE 02, beloved daughter of the late Eric and the late Dorothy Steede nee Burgess; loving mother to daughter Jennifer [Susie] Steede, beloved grandmother to Joshua Smith and Christina Kohls [Jesse]; great grandmother to Lyani Jasmin and Addis Tafari Smith and only surviving loving sister Inez Furbert, Life Partner Leon Walker [deceased]. Olivia was predeceased by all her brothers, sister and sisters in law: Leroy Burgess, Quinton Steede, Harold Steede [Ismay] deceased, Howard Steede [Louise] deceased, Eunice Gibbons nee Steede [Frederick] deceased , Joseph Steede and Reginald Steede.
Ms. Olivia’s celebration of life service will be held on Monday 21st February 2022 at Glory Temple, New Testament Church of God, Southside, St. David’s at 1:00pm. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Secretary Road, St. George.
Lovingly remembered by nieces: Marilyn Butterfield, Shirleen Spencer [Dennis], Frederica Lambert [Vance], Mary Helen Trott [Paul]; nephews: Michael Furbert [Rhonda], Leroy Burgess deceased [Helen], James Furbert [Dornelle], Reginald Burgess [Shirley]; special nephew and niece Frederick Jr. and Cynthia Gibbons, Wilfred Gibbons [Debrina] and Edward Fox; special great grand daughter Cyniah Smith; 13 great nieces, 4 great nephews, 10 great great nieces and 16 great great nephews; special godson Gladwin Bartrum, aunties’ baby Cali Broadley Samuels; numerous special friends: Pauline Williams, Lina Smith, Claudette Simmons, Marie Smith, Pat Smith, Sharon Tucker, Jaliyah and Kingsley Burch, Brittany Robinson, St. George’s Community Family, Bda Postal AMF Family, special Walker Family, numerous cousins, friends and family members in Bermuda and overseas too many to mention. Olivia loved everyone & everyone loved Olivia!
